Ⅲ Teaching procedures
Step 1 Lead-in
Play a game: Simon says. It's a game that students should do the opposite action when the teacher says "Simon says". For example, when the teacher says: "Simon says, put up your left hand." Students should put up the right hand. When the teacher doesn't say "Simon says", they should put up the left hand.
(Justification: This game can draw students' attention quickly at the beginning of the class.)
Step 2 Presentation and practice
① Draw some pictures on the blackboard and teach the new words: a door, a window, a blackboard.
② Finger show: Mark the new words with 1-3, when the teacher show 1 finger, students should read "a door", 2 fingers, "a window", 3 fingers, "a blackboard".
(Justification: Students can practice the pronunciation of these new words, and this game is easy and interesting for them.)
③ Listen to the tape and answer the question: Where are they?
④ Listen again, and answer the question: What does the teacher want Liu Tao to do?
(Justification: Students can improve their listening ability, and learn some simple expression in class by imitating.)
⑤ Look at the book, read after the tape and imitate the pronunciation. At the same time, the teacher will write some expressions on the blackboard: stand up, sit down, open the door, and close the window.
⑥ Game: Simon says.
(Justification: Students are familiar with the rules of this game, and it can help them practice the meaning of these new words and expressions.)
Step 3 Production
① Sing a chant and do the actions:
A door, a door, open the door.
A window, a window, close the window.
Morning, good morning, stand up.
Morning, good morning, sit down.
Look there, look here.
What's it? It's a blackboard.
(Justification: Chant is interesting for primary students, so it will create a nice atmosphere. And students can consolidate the knowledge they have learned this class.)
② Divide students into several groups. The teacher says the instruction like "open the window", "sit down", and students should react quickly. Finally, which group gets the most stars will be the winner.
(Justification: group competition can make students be active in class, and this is also a TPR method to help students understand the meaning of these instructions better.)
Step 4 Summary and homework
Summary: Summarize what we have learned today together with students.
Homework: Learn the chant and sing it together next class.
(Justification: It can help students consolidate what they have learned in this class.)
